Some stories are born from the breath of the wind, where two shores gaze at each other and dreams know no borders. Ours begins in 2026.
Beneath a Spanish sky heavy with light and promise, carried by hearts beating to the rhythm of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. From Spain to America, from Africa to the world, we chose to build bridges where others see distance.
We believe every human being carries a spark capable of lighting their village, their city, their planet. But for that flame to shine, energy — that vital force — must be within everyone’s reach. So we act where the sun is generous and the lights still go out too early; where women and children walk miles to draw water, or hope; where knowledge remains a luxury and poverty dims smiles.
Our mission is humble and our ambition immense: to make sustainable energy a lever for human, social, environmental and economic transformation.
Where we stand today
We are a young foundation, and we say so plainly. Lhacienda Esperanza Foundation was founded in 2026 and is registered in Delaware, United States. Our field programme, Lhacienda Terra, is in its launch phase in Bondoukou, in the Gontougo region of Côte d’Ivoire.
Terra is run as a direct operation of the foundation. We do not pass funds to a third party and wait for a report: our own people run the programme, and the foundation answers for it.
We have no decade of results to show you. What we have is one concrete programme, a place we chose deliberately, and the intention to publish what we learn — including what fails. We would rather earn your trust slowly than borrow it with language we cannot yet support.

Why Bondoukou
Côte d’Ivoire is the world’s largest producer of raw cashew nuts, and the Gontougo region sits at the heart of that trade. Every harvest leaves behind shells that are burned in the open or heaped beside the processing plants. A region with a waste problem, a soil that needs carbon, and households whose year depends on a single crop — that is where a small foundation can do something specific rather than something general.
Walk with us
Whether you are in Madrid, New York, Nairobi, Bondoukou or elsewhere, your attention, your voice, your gesture can light something. Together, let us make sustainable energy an obvious truth and solidarity a second nature.
