What we collect
When you write to us
If you email us or fill in a form on this site, we receive what you send: your name, your email address, and the content of your message. We keep it for as long as needed to answer you and to maintain a record of our correspondence.
When you comment
If you leave a comment, we store the details in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string, which help us detect spam. Spam detection is handled by Akismet, a service operated by Automattic.
When you donate
We do not currently process payments on this website. If you give by bank transfer, your bank transmits to us the information required to identify the transfer. If online giving is added to this site in future, payment details will be handled by the payment provider and this policy will be updated before that happens.
Automatically, as you browse
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. Cookies are used to make the site work and, where applicable, to measure audience; you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time.
Media
If you upload images to the site, avoid files containing embedded location data (EXIF GPS), which other visitors could extract.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not send newsletters to people who have not asked for them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Where you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, these rights come from the GDPR; where you are in California, from the CCPA. We will act on any such request regardless of where you live. We may need to keep certain records — a donation record, for example — where law or accounting requires it. If that applies to your request, we will tell you which data and why.
Where your data goes
This website is hosted in France. Some of the services we use, such as spam filtering, are operated by companies based in the United States, which means limited data may be transferred there.

If we add online giving, analytics or any other service that changes what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
