At launch stage, a foundation needs three things: money, expertise, and people who open doors. Only one of those is money.
Give
Contributions go into equipment, training and the first production runs of Lhacienda Terra. Note that we cannot yet issue tax receipts — see Transparency & governance for why. Support the launch
Bring expertise
Right now, certain kinds of knowledge are worth more to us than a cheque:
- Biomass pyrolysis. If you have run a reactor, specified one, or watched one fail, we want to hear from you before we buy anything.
- Agronomy in West Africa. Particularly soil amendment trials and cashew orchard renewal.
- Monitoring and evaluation. We intend to publish results. We would rather publish results that were measured properly.
- Non-profit finance and compliance. Especially US and Ivorian.
Partner with us
We are looking for organisations already working in the Gontougo region — in agriculture, health and water, or child protection. Our preference is to join what works rather than build a parallel version of it. If you run programmes there, tell us what you do and where the gaps are.
We are also talking to cashew processing plants around Bondoukou. If your plant produces shell waste, that waste is the input to our project, and the conversation costs you nothing.
Fund at institutional scale
If you represent a foundation, a company or a public programme, we would rather have a conversation than submit a form into a portal. A director will answer you directly and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for your criteria — including when we are not.
Follow and share
The least expensive useful thing: read what we publish, and pass it on to someone who works in this field. A young foundation grows through the people who vouch for it.
